Hi! We’re Jodi and Taylor Monday, a mother/daughter duo and the owners of Motor City Botanicals (MCB). MCB is a small batch, hand-crafted, organic skincare company based out of Detroit, Michigan. We have two specialties: serene cream and relief cream. While the two may seem vastly different, we are equally as passionate about both.

We’re guessing you’re here because you (or someone you know) got a small gifted sample of one of our infused creams and you’re trying to figure out how to buy some… and herein lies our dilemma – the tens of thousands of dollars it costs to obtain a Michigan Marijuana Processor License so that we can legally sell our infused creams to you.

What makes us special?

Each small batch of our infused creams are hand made by Jodi and Taylor to ensure consistency and unwavering quality.
They don’t smell like weed. This is something everyone loves.
All products are tested for purity and safety through PSI Laboratories (in alignment with all state seed to sale requirements).
Unlike most of our competitors, our product is not a “balm” or “salve”. It is a true lotion that absorbs quickly and fully into the skin for optimal benefits.

Relief Cream

Relief Cream was designed with the latest plant science in mind. Combining essential oils, capsaicinoids, emollients, and cannabinoids creates incredibly powerful relief of acute and chronic pain.
Relief Cream is infused with Michigan grown, top quality indica cannabis that meets all state standards. Indicas are known for their pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. They soothe and calm the nervous system, providing non-opioid pain relief that is felt immediately, and lasts for several hours.
We use organic Blue Tansy essential oil to protect and soothe the skin. This means that Relief Cream can be reapplied as often as needed without causing any skin irritation, and also creates a gently sweet and floral scent.
Relief cream has a rich lotion consistency that absorbs quickly into multiple layers of the skin rather than sitting on top of the skin. This unique quality provides an effective and almost immediate reduction in pain.

Serene Cream

Serene cream was designed with Ayurvedic* medicine and overall mental health in mind. Combining essential oils, limonenes, emollients, and cannabinoids creates a powerful sense of serenity and uplifting calm.
Serene cream is infused with Michigan grown, top quality sativa cannabis that meets all state standards. We specially choose Sativa strains that are high in limonene terpenes because when combined with organic rose and pink grapefruit essential oils, they make a powerful combination that uplifts mood, improves concentration, and creates a sense of serenity and euphoria.
Rose oil is also used spiritually and is widely used for meditation and prayer. In Ayurveda (*traditional Indian medicine) it aids in strengthening and balancing the heart chakra. It inspires positivity and spiritual growth. Rose oil has the highest vibrational frequency of all essential oils, making it one of the most beneficial of therapeutic essential oils. It has been used for centuries in aiding against headaches and fatigue.

Would we make great partners?

We are looking to partner with the right cannabis company to share this amazing product with consumers throughout Michigan (and possibly more!). We want to partner with a cannabis business that has a Michigan Marijuana Processor License AND aligns with our values and ethics. We are an ally organization in every sense of the word. We are, at our core, a community organization.

As survivors of domestic violence, we put our money where our mouth is. A portion of all Motor City Botanicals profits go to Turning Point, an organization in metro Detroit that works to end sexual violence, domestic violence, and human trafficking. The organization supports thousands of survivors each year. We need to know that doing the right thing by supporting the most vulnerable in our community is as important to your business as it is to ours.
